Terms of Use

Last updated September 17, 2026

Slovo is licensed to you under Apple's standard End User License Agreement for apps distributed through the App Store. The terms below add the points that are specific to Slovo.

License

Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms and the Apple agreement differ, the Apple agreement prevails.

What Slovo does

Slovo records or imports audio and converts speech to text on your device using speech recognition models. Automatic recognition is not perfect: names, terms, accents and noisy recordings can produce mistakes. Check the text before relying on it for anything important.

Your recordings and your responsibility

You are responsible for the audio you record or import and for the text you produce with it. Make sure you have the right to record and transcribe a conversation; in many places, recording other people requires their consent. Do not use the app in a way that breaks the law or violates someone else's rights.

Free plan and Slovo Pro

The free plan recognizes up to 60 minutes of audio per calendar month and up to 30 minutes of a single file; the minutes reset on the first day of each month. Slovo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or yearly, that removes these limits and allows recordings and files up to 4 hours.

We may change what the free plan and Slovo Pro include in future versions of the app. Changes will not shorten a period you have already paid for.

Models and third-party software

Recognition uses open speech models that run locally on your device, each under its own license. The models and third-party software the app includes, with their licenses, are listed on the Licenses page. We may add, replace or retire models in future versions; a model that is already on your device keeps working until you remove it.

Your data

Everything you create in Slovo is stored on your device and, if you turn sync on, in your own iCloud. We keep no copies and cannot restore them. Back up your device if the transcripts matter to you. Our Privacy Policy describes what the app does with data.

No warranty

The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about its accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for losses that result from using the app or from mistakes in recognized text.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
